Tapenet web applications sign with a browser wallet. This page points Phantom at Solana devnet, which the public network runs on, so those applications can use your wallet. Your wallet is your identity (how the pieces fit).

Open developer settings

In Phantom, open Settings, then Developer Settings, and turn on Testnet Mode.

Select Solana devnet

Pick Solana Devnet as the active network.

Follow Get devnet SOL and Get TAPE, using your Phantom wallet’s public Solana address for both requests. You can skip the CLI wallet creation steps when using Phantom. Phantom shows SOL directly; use the explorer to check the funds at the same public address. A separately created CLI wallet has a different address and does not share these balances. Any wallet-standard wallet works the same way. These steps use Phantom because it’s what most readers have installed.
